Might be worth more than a read as Google and others appear to find it necessary to infiltrate our PC lives
while telling us how they are only interested in our privacy.

Will be interesting to see when/if some one rebadges "Chrome" with all the Googly goodness taken out

It may not be worth the trouble. We've found some serious privacy compromising flaws in chrome, far more troublesome than anything as benign the identifier. I would hold out for a long while till chrome can been fixed and vetted, if it can at all. it is not safe for internet privacy.
