I have a dual boot rig......vista 32 bit home premium and windows XP home.

I have ordered and received my vista 64 bit upgrade disc.
I would like to upgrade or do a clean install of vista to the 64 bit version of vista.
I "do not" want to alter my current XP home install.....i have the 2 OS on separate partitions.

Can anyone give me any advice in doing this?.....i have the new acronis TI11.

I would make the bootable Rescue cd, boot with it and make a Backup of the entire drive to an external drive or other internal drive, whichever you have.

Then apply the 64-bit upgrade to Vista. If that is successful, make another Backup of the entire drive, again from the bootable Rescue cd.
