Really bad spyware infestation NOD32 did not pick up

I had a really bad spyware infestation recently. It was so bad I could not start Windows. And I also could not log in to the default Administrator account. I did 4 scans using NOD32. Each time it said 0 threats found.

Maybe this product isn't so good when it comes to spyware?
