Where's is my computer scan and update button in ESS?

Hello,

I just installed ESS but I cant see the update and the computer scan in the right corner.. What if I go to the advance mode I cant see the update options::) What can I do?

Assuming the AV before ESS was Totally Removed I'd definitely start over via the following:
Download ESS again,
Un-Install ESS via Control Panel Add-Delete,
Re-Boot
Delete
- C:\Program files\ESET
- C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application data\Eset
- C:\ Documents and Settings\your profile name\Application data\Eset
- Registry: HKCU\Software\ESET ....And....... HKLM\Software\ESET....And....
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\egui (Clk Run to see egui)

Re-Install ESS and post back what happens.
