I don't have any icon after computer startup, does ESET works ?

I just installed ESET Smart Security on my computer. When I starts the system, I do not see any icon. I have to open the program into START-ESET-... to have it. Is it normal?

Is the icon in the System Tray and is that icon green?

There is no icon in the system tray. But when I check on Windows Security (COntrol Panel), it shows that Eset is running.

I was thinking that perhaps, there is an option to display or not the icon close to the clock. But I never touched on the option, so ...

There is no option for the icon, it should show...

Try Start->Run and type in "msconfig". Then check the startup tab to make sure that ESET Smart Security (egui.exe) is checked. If it's not there you will probably need to reinstall. It is also worthwhile for you to check the Process Manager after you have booted but before manually launching ESS for egui.exe.
