Hi guys!
I'm trying to run Truecrypt with Vista and I'm running into a problem. There's not much info on this when I googled for it, so I hope you can help.
I encrypted the entire drive that holds the operating system and that worked flawlessly.
Following that, I created an encrypted volume (a file, not the entire HD) in my RAID1 HD. Whenever I boot my machine, I can mount it normally ONCE. If I dismount the volume, I can only mount it again using read-only. Nothing else seems to work and I get the following error if I try to do anything else:
{QUOTE-> WARNING: The host file/device is already in use!
Ignoring this can cause undesired results including system instability.
All applications that might be using the host file/device should be closed before mounting the volume.
Continue with mounting? <-QUOTE}
If I try to mount anyway, I get:
{QUOTE-> Error: Cannot mount volume. The host file/device is already in use.
Attempt to mount without exclusive access failed as well. <-QUOTE}
I really don't understand because the volume is not mounted and I don't have anything open that might be using it.
I'm using Vista Ultimate.
Any suggestions?
