ESET sample submission status

Some time ago I had to complain on this forum about some malware samples not being processed by ESET, and Marcos kindly solved the issue (they were added to next signature update, but only after 1 week submission). I've sent some more samples not detected by NOD32, and I would like to know if ESET has improved their sample review procedures. I suspect that ESET mail servers send too much samples to the junk box :P

I always like to help sending samples that I found not detected by NOD32 and other vendors. Kaspersky are very effective and they quickly review samples and add them to signatures. I wish ESET could have a better sample review process. This is not a complaint, just a suggestion.

Yeah this is a big problem of eset. The slow handling of samples. I have send a sample a month ago... no reaction.
And here in the Forum everytime the same answers.
Eset doesn't include trojans from pornsites, no malware, not wide spreading, no single signatures. Ah and your samples are always corrupted.
And you are right KA is maybe the better choice

The "priority basis" thing has always scared me off from Eset.. as has the reports of slow sample handling. Just my opinion.

I think the best solution is to continue using NOD32 and ESET improving their virus sample review ;D

A priority basis shows the ESET's systematic virus handling, but how can ESET leave the samples we sent aside for more than 1 week? Every threat could do great harm to a client's PC. I think, anyway, there should be someone handle the samples sent by clients as soon as possible. I've sent three or more samples which are only detected by other AV programs to ESET via its program. But, they still have not been added to the signature. I'm now helpless with fear as I don't know what do to with those programs. And how can I turn a blind eye to every possible unsafe program on my machine? Instead, ESET should focus on the spreading samples, at the same time, do not ignore samples considered less important. In that way, I believe ESET will no longer disappoint its customers and prove its ThreatSense technology really work effectively and rapidly.
