Wandered over to this useful resource and if Wilders doesn't mind thought it might be a nice little compendium for anyone interested:

Thanks for the link.
It'll be great if Wilders also make that kind of member choice poll.

Seems the members over at DSLR don't really know too much when it comes to Spyware Removal & Prevention Programs:
-{ Quote: "This years POLL was a complete one sided victory for the program many, if not all, people have used to combat spyware - Spybot Search & Destroy. Walking away with 22.8% of votes, it blew away the competition with quite a comfortable lead. Spyware Blaster (12.8%), Ad-Aware (11.2%) and even Windows Defender (9.9%) got quite a bit of votes, but it was not enough to earn them the victory." }-

Franklin, I thought the same thing: Spybot S&D the winner? Not a single mention of MBAM in 3 thread pages; amazing!

Likewise, ShadowProtect is not even listed in the Imaging poll. this is one of the problems of promoting anything on the Internet: It gets attention to a certain extent, remaining locked within a network of users, but it often fails to create a domino effect as in TV commercials. On TV you are fed whatever they pay to advertise, on the Internet we seek information without exposing ourselves to extras.
It's a very slow process of penetration on the web, that explains why once you are there you remain there even if your product mightn't be so competitive.Without offending anybody that is the case of Symantec, which has been criticized for years, and only recently they seem to have become competitive again. Spybot S&D was one of the first with Lavasoft to be suggested by Microsoft to clean up your computer from spyware and adware.

Maybe we could do the same here on Wilders, if mods are OK with it.
I don't know if we really need more polls of the type "what's the best ..." ;D
