A short while ago this package was loaded with a known 'trojan' (quite difficult for several AVs to remove-requires boot scan to remove-file stays hidden in recycle bin).

I'd still avoid if possible. I've seen the file first-hand.

Well, I mentioned this as a jokeware. I consider it extremely stupid idea (disable autorun and be done with it) plus this kind of threats should be covered by any decent generic realtime AV out there anyway. ::)

It's all cool. I know you weren't suggesting to download it, rather that turning autorun off is a far safer method :thumb:

Cureit, or even AVZ tool are better alternatives and are portable.

The thing is with this MX One software, it is supposed to protect against trojans, not load one on. But maybe that's the intention/payoff with this free software.
Also, if it is still carrying the infected file, how many people will have it now that it's featured on raymond's site. :/
