Hello,
i reinstalled vista yesterday.
if i try to delete a file on F: it asks me if i want to delete it perminatly even thou all partitions are set to put files in recyle bin.
if i delete a file on Z: it goes in the recycle bin and the recycle bin icon changes to show there is a file in it but it doesnt show the items in the bin.
havent tryed deleting stuff off c: to test.
google search just came up with another fourm with someone saying to change all recycle bin options to delete files and not use recycle bin, reboot and then change back. but this didnt work.
i have tryed as many things as possible.

Hi lodore, have you tried this...
Right click on the recycle bin and click properties, then click the option of configure all drives independantly, and set each drive to a max of 10%, also make sure the option to delete without sending to the recyle bin is unticked.

You could try right clicking desktop - Personalize - Change desktop items and try swapping the empty and full bin icons around a couple of times to see if it may jog something into place?

the screenshot shows how it currently configred.
if i delete something from Z: it is in the recycle bin but i cant see it. in addition to that i can empty it. but if i try to restore the items before i try to empty the bin it doesnt work.
