I have a problem to install ESS in XP sp3 and Vista

When I try to install ESS to XP sp3 and Vista, got a error "The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP. (Tell me why this testing is important.)"

I don't know about XP SP3 but as far as Vista is concerned what version of ESS are you trying to install? I did not get that error with any trial or full version of ESS and I started at 3.0.47 or something. Have you tried right clicking on the installer and running it as administrator?

download from the link provided by ESET, I bought it from online shop, so the installer should be the latest version.

i would try to download ess from here:
http://www.eset.com/download/registered_software.php

this sometimes happens if you try to install old versions of software.

If the problem reappears i'd disable the Windows XP Driver Signing check.
Win xp: Control Panel --> System --> Hardware --> Driver Signing --> ...
