I doubt it. Usually, OEM offers like that are limited to critical bugs/definitions updates (like the case with Symantec).

And it's only 3 months for free. They are evidently lining people up for the 2009 release in the next few weeks and with Panda you don't get free upgrades...::)

Just be very careful with Panda.

For a number of reasons:

They are/were expensive (last time I checked).

It may be impossible or very difficult to get rid of the product. It may take a computer security professional to accomplish that !

I once tried one of Panda's online scans. The product/service, without asking for permission, started to copy files to my Windows system directory/directories ! Someone else later stated that it came with an uninstall utility, but when I noticed that behaviour I immediately aborted the process !

I'd have an issue with their management (I won't be more specific).

Yes, You are probably correct and as mata said its only 07 version SO some false Info to begin with on pandas behalf.

IIRC: even doing an online scan may get you on their 'friends of Panda" e-mail, but ti's been a while.
I installed into a snapshot and had do ditch that snapshot to get rid of it.
It may be a good set of tools but I did take issue with the push marketing.

So maybe we need to conclude that this 'Panda' product does not belong in the other anti-malware software section.

Only 'anti-malware' products belong here. Not malware itself.
