View Full Version : Problem with Scheduled Backups

I have an incremental backup scheduled to run daily at 3:00am. If the computer is turned on, the backup runs as expected. If the computer is on standby at 3:00 (not turned off), the backup runs when I power the machine up later in the day.

I wouldn't have expected this result - I assumed (and wanted) for the backup to be permanently skipped.

(I did not check the box to run missed tasks when computer is started.)

Is that the expected result - backup runs when coming out of standby mode or am I missing another parameter in the setup?

Thanks,
Len

The ATI schedulaer will not wake apc form standby or hibernate. But you can use the windows Task Scheduler, which will wake a pc from standby/hibernate.

Hello LenC,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

We are sorry for delayed response.

Could you please clarify if you checked the box "If the computer is turned off, run the missed tasks at start-up" during the schedule task wizard (see paragraph 9.1.1 "Setting up daily execution" of Acronis True Image 11 Home (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/features.html) User's Guide (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/download/docs/))?

Thank you.
