I am using the premium version of avira. But since I am not using the webguard and the mailscan I do not want to renew its license.Antivir free does not detect spyware. So can I fill this gap by using boclean with antivir free.Do they conflict? Any user opinions please?
I am also thinking to remove winpatrol and use anvir task manager instead.

I'm using BOClean w/ both free and premium versions of Avira without any conflicts.

A friend of mine had the same question. I suggested him SpywareBlaster, SAS on demand and a sandboxed firefox under SandboxIE.
I'm very interested in other replies though :)

I would rather use SUPERAnti Spyware with Ewido Anti Spyware.

For free real time protection, you could do a lot worse. I set that combination up on my wife's machine (along with Rising PF Free and NAB). They work well together, and yes, BOClean should fill in the anti-spyware gap rather well. If you're looking to try out decent real time AS, you may want to look at Spyware Terminator also. Many have good things (as well as a few bad things) to say about it. I've not used Anvir's product, but I've run WinPatrol before and liked it.

Most of you recommend Superantispyware.Do you recommend it on demand or real time?
OR can I use PC Tools Threatfire along Antivir Free.
All I want is something to complement Antivir Free.I want that program to be effective, free and not a resource hog and no conflicts with antivir.

I would definatly complement Avira with Windows Defender (which has become really good IMO) and threatfire. Light, free and effective :thumb:

Threatfire works fine with Avira. SAS is good both on demand and real time, although you have to pay for real time protection, it's worth it.
