After my recent reinstall of both operating systems I've been sort of plagued with two errors. The first one that popped up was a MBR Error 3, this one happened two or three times. Everytime I would put in my DD rescue disk and re-activate OSS. Then the system would boot fine a few dozen times then it would appear again. Now I read through the forums didn't really see a fix for that. This morning start my system up and where i would normally see OSS loading there is a "OS not found hit enter to continue". I hit enter it boots to Windows Vista without giving me OSS screen so I reboot the computer to DD rescue disk, re-activate OSS. it boots fine again I have tested it like seven times this morning seems to work fine so far. Any ideas what's happening here? thanks Rodger

I'm not sure exactly what causes that error with OSS. I've seen in happen most frequently in a VM, though I have seen it in regular computers too. It's the same error that OSS causes on bootable USB hard drives and some flashdrives (at least it does on mine). I suspect it has something to do with OSS making changes to the MBR on the drive because it requires the MBR to be restored to return it to its previous working state.

Have you tried disabling the OS Selector Reinstall Service?

No I haven't tried disabling the OS selctor reinstall service? Is that a service like those services installed in Windows or something I have to enable or disable in the OSS startup panel?

It's in the standard Windows Services list.
