Estimated time for new definitions on submitted files

So i'm liking eset's software, but submitting the files is strange to me

when i right click, and goto submit files, just from the desktop

say, i'll select 8 files not detected, known to be malware, it will ask if i want to send 8 files, yes, then a small writeup, and i click send, in the event viewer, it only shows 1 file being submitted, and i never receive a response from eset about it, nor does it really seem like any of them get detected

is it like this for everyone?

Undetected samples should be submitted by email in a rar/zip archive protected with the password "infected" to samples[at]eset.com

can i ask if i can expect a response on them? not expecting a writeup on them, but a 'adding to detection' type of deal?
