from couple days back my pc is hangs for couple secs and woks normal again.
sometimes when opening drive partition it freezes and i have to either restart the pc or explorer.exe(opening drive problem doesnt happen everytime,it happens sometimes only).
when i start pc everything will be normal but sometimes it freezes for 2 seconds when starting an application and again it comes back to life.
i ran chkdsk but no errors found.
i restored a clean c drive image but the problem persists.right now im not using any AVs.
even at the time typing this post it freezed few times for few secs and normal again.
windows is not remembering any folder views or anything i kept for downloading in downloader.
Im not getting whether it is a hard disk problem or ram problem or mother board problem.
please help me to sort out this problem.

You could have a look in the Event Viewer and see if any reports point to the prob?
