I thought I should start this thread so people could suggest what they would like to see in snap deploy 4

I personally would like to see the following:

Management of computer accounts e.g. able to specify in which Organisational Unit a computer account is placed

I wish acronis support was better and the product was just generally more reliable. We upgraded to snap deploy 3 with universal deploy and universal deploy doesnt work. Acronis has been unable to help for several weeks even with a paid 'proority support' plan.

If they could just make the product stable and get real tech support, I bet many people would be happy.

Here here! The software seems great if it works but if anything happens you're on your own.

Seems to be a shared sentiment around here...and every else you can find feedback about any Acronis product. Nice software, but exceedingly and unacceptably pathetic tech support. I was ready to toss about $10,000 at their enterprise true image solution, but they've lost that business. I have absolutely no confidence they will be able to resolve any issue we may encounter if and when the product is most needed.

Agreed, I definitely feel like I'm on my own. I used the first version of SD but they helped us out and it's still running smoothly.

My newest implementation has been a nightmare. Their support hasn't been responsive other than blaming anti-virus (which wasn't installed) and asking for NFO files.

We bought the product in May and I have had various issues since. I have had two open issues since May 21. I know of no other company anywhere that would have open support tickets for 6 freakin months. Absolutely ridiculous! What works of the product is great but what doesn't work isn't worth the money to get the support. I would find something else if I could.

Poor or non-existent support. V2 SD/UD won't work with V3. Nightmare.

I'm going back to: Drive Snapshot.

Great support - doesn't have the cool console or work over the network w/PXE server (neither does SD half the time).

If Acronis were in the U.S. I would pursue them. I would like my money back.

I second the previous posts; instead of release 4.0, release 3.1 with minor enhancements would be more appropriate.

- Fix major bugs, improve stability
- Improve computer naming support (e.g., support a computer name list indexed by MAC address)
- Improve custom command handling: With custom commands, system should still reboot after deployment is complete, and not display an error message.
- Improve support for new network drivers; possibly let users add their own network drivers.
- Add option to stay in event driven mode; ie after one deployment is complete, just wait for more computers to come online.

I wish that their existing product would work. I'm tired of dealing with Tech Support in Russia that doesn't know what they're doing. I'm tired of trying to get this image to deploy without the deploy failing.
