Got an issue with TI10 Home build 4942.

I am using the rescue CD on an A7N8X-E MB, both XP2500/XP3200 CPU, LSI21320 SCSI-Controller, 2 SCSI disks as Raid0 as system disk, 3 other disks.

Problem: using the full version, the boot stops and fails into the shell. I can start TI with entering product, and run my backup without any problem. Also restore works fine.

I would like to know why TI is not starting directly. How can I get a hand on a reason or even better, on a fix?

Thanks, rolfie

Have you tried the Rescue CD from TI 11? There is a free trial version which will create a CD for testing.

As an algternative, you could create a BartPE or VistaPE boot disk with the TI plugin.

Fall into a self-erected trap.

Due to problems that finally turned out to be a bad U320-SCSI-cable, I usually use F11 and remove the "quiet" bit from the command line to be able to see the boot messages. This at the same time ends in the shell.

When I let TI boot without interaction, everything works fine, I get the graphics screen.

Thanks a lot, Rolf

PS: Perhaps there should be an advanced/interested user mode showing all the boot messages until the graphics screen comes up.
