Hello,

every time i try to install a printer in vista i get the following error code
0X000003eb
printer is a hp 2570, connected via ethernet to a computer running xp home. got the lastest version of the install before i started from the hp website for XP.
since its not shared by windows it wont find it automatically. its shared by the hp software.

if i press the button add a local printer, new port and put in the ip address
169.254.246.198
and then select the 2570 seris printer driver it will come up with the error message i said above.

the printer will install if i select the hp 2570 seris printer and then windows update button. but it seems windows update doesnt have the 2500 seris drivers so i can select the wrong driver and it will install but of course wont print.

i think it would work if microsoft could add the 2575 seris drivers to windows update.
vista has both microsoft and hp drivers for the 2600,2700 seris but not the 2570 seris.

i have tryed most things.

i got it to work by getting windows to share it.
and now it prints fine.

btw the other problem is that sometimes due to the kav ndis driver i cannot see the other computers on my network. so of course this affects both file and printer sharing.
does anyone else have this issue with kis7.0/kav2009?
