You gotta hate those bloated Toshiba laptops. My GF's had the same crap on it when she bought hers.
I disabled most of them and the computer still works.
Windows handles most of that stuff anyways.
As I don't have her laptop here with me, I can't tell you right now which ones I disabled back then.

Here, keep it on the forum.

Also you can use Runscanner here (http://www.runscanner.net/) to check up on every entry.
The easiest way to remove any unecessary entries is to use CC Cleaner here (http://www.ccleaner.com/) and go to Tools-Startup.

Here are a couple of sites where you can look up different startup items and get advice on whether or not they are required.
CastleCops startup list (http://www.castlecops.com/StartupList.html)
TechSpot startup list (http://www.techspot.com/startup/)
I used to use sysinfo.org for a startup list guide but for some reason that site seems to be down.

You may also want to check to see if some services can be disabled. Look under "Popular Content" at the link below-

isnt there any entries in add/remove programs for the toshiba software before trying to remove stuff manually?
