I bought the Freeagent external drive about a year ago but only begun using it for a week now. The drive is connected directly to the USB port & I have tried connecting it to both front and back of my tower but message still appears. The following message periodically appears in Event Viewer:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: Disk
Event Category: None
Event ID: 51
Date: 7/4/2008
Time: 4:23:32 PM
User: N/A
Computer: SHINTRUEPC
Description:
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\D during a paging operation.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I had Xpsp2 and just recently updated to SP3 via windows update and the message seems to still appear. The drive model number is: ST3250310AS
and it is set for quick removal. The only time I remove the external hdd is while the computer and external hdd is shutdown. Also I have ran both chkdsk & seatools yet found no errors.

The simplest way I can display my system information is through this parser link:

Hello razor0018,

Do a search for Event ID: 51. For instance, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/244780-{ Quote: "An error was detected on device \Device\DeviceName during a paging operation
In this case, no harmful affects are experienced. For example, event ID 51 is logged when blank media such as CDR, CDRW, DVDR, and so on, is inserted into a writable drive while a USB device is plugged in. The system logs the event even though the disc is writable, and the USB device is still usable. In these particular cases, you can safely ignore the log entries, and no additional action is required." }-

Pardon my noobness but I am just not very hardware savvy. So its natural and can be ignored?

That appears to be correct.

You might want to contact Kaspersky for more information on the error as shown in your screenshot.
