I have received the pre.bat file from Acronis Priority Support. In trying to follow the directions, I ran into an issue. The screenshot shows "Create Incremental backup if Possible" as an option, but SBS version only shows "Create Incremental Backup". I tried it anyway and got an error stating that I can't make an incremental until I have a full already there with the same name.
I know I can work around that by creating a full, but what happens when the pre.bat process moves the full into the set1 folder? What happens when I change the drives in the external drive bay that I am backing up to? It seems odd that in this version the incremental option doesn't default to a full if there is not an ititial full present.
What can I do here?

Hello drizzo42,
Thank you for using Acronis Server Backup software (http://www.acronis.com/smb/products/ATISBS/).
Could you please tell me the number of your case in Acronis Support Department? This would let me understand what is the issue and what is the purpose of the bat file you are saying about.
Thank you

The subject line of the email I received was: [Acronis #1575669] Backup strategy .
Here is the content:
Hello Dave,
Thank you for your call. Starting from the phone conversation we had, you can download the batch file for managing backups saved to a folder on a local drive (works with individual backup tasks) at: http://download.acronisboston.com/~alexey.popov/pre_l_i.zip
NOTE: ZIP archive contains a ready batch file and also a document describing the usage of it in detail. Please _do not_ edit/modify the provided batch files unless absolutely necessary. Such parameters as backup location, amount backups in a set, number of backup sets that you want to keep and credentials for accessing the share are specified in the form of Arguments.
We are always at your service should you have any further questions.
Note that you can quickly find the answers to your questions in Acronis Support Knowledge Base at http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/support/kb/.
Thank you.

incremental if possible can only be done with a scheduled task.
if you do not have the option there is a bug in the product.
