Hi,
I used Acronis True Image 10 to clone the OS (Vista) on an SATA drive (120GB) to an IDE drive (120GB). Now, when I try to clone the OS on the IDE drive to the SATA drive, the computer does not boot. All I get is a blinking cursor. It's as if the bootloader is missing.
How do I resolve this problem?

Hi, That happen to me once but all I did was restart the computer and it loaded , though it did take a while but it did finally loaded . I believe there problems with ATI and Vista . I know whenever I do backup restore image or cloning I get errors afterwards . I even notice this with using the rescure disk too. I wouldn't be surprise as to why there hasn't been a new build in a while now because of problems with Vista and I bet they ( ATI ) are working on a fix , though sometimes it can be a while before they do , which I hope they do .

You might try the procedures listed in My guide to Manual Cloning using the TI Rescue CD (http://grover.tabinc.com/gh-temp/gh_acronis_manual_cloning.pdf). This is work in progress but it might help.

No, that's wrong.
How can a booting Ti rescue CD have knowledge about the installed OS?
TI knows the filesystem but not the OS.
I think it has to do with SATA and the old kernel of Ti10...
But perhaps it is described in Grover's manual :)
