My dad plays a game of Pac-man that I downloaded for him, and he is a competitive player. He recently told me that the keys he uses(arrow keys) were unresponsive. I checked them by playing the game. The keys work, and I don't notice a difference or lag. This is probably because he is a very good player, much better than I am. He does hit the keys rather hard, and we have been using this keyboard for close to two years. I just got ride of a bunch of viruses and trojans. I don't know if the keyboard is just going out or what. Any help would help ;) Thanks a bunch.

Hi so far so good,

I'm not sure I understand you right.

The issue is only with the arrow keys?

You don't see any problem with the keys but your dad does?

Even when you are there together?

Did the issue develop gradually or all of a sudden?

What OS is that PC?

I am the only one that uses the other keys, and they seem to be responding fine when I am typing this. My father uses the arrow keys exclusively. I don't notice a problem, but I don't use them as quickly or as agressively as him. I assume this issue developed suddenly, since I heard about it abruptly. My OS is Windows xp. I just removed viruses lately, so could they have left some problems behind? Thanks.

Okay, can you please follow the steps outlined here...

I run ad-aware and s&d nearly every day. I have used CWshreeder lately, and it turned up nothing. Here is my log, though I am sure it is clean.

You have tried the obvious solution of switching to a different (hopefully "heavy-duty") keyboard, haven't you? And seeing if the problem goes away?

Or, suggesting to your Dad that he get a joystick controller instead?

no, I haven't tried that yet. Being a total retard when it comes to computers, the obvious lacks the defining obviousness. I will try this. thanks a bunch.
