Hi everybody,

having read so much about "layered defense" - hi Paul! :) - I run NOD32, TDS3 and WormGuard. No my question above: Did I forget anything? I'm asking because I'm not sure about NOD32's capabilities concerning macros or scripts. Of course, WormGuard prevents me from running executable macros, for example in a spreadsheet. But what if I trust in the sender and he accidentally sent some crap? Will NOD32 take care of it as well?

Regards - Stefan

With NOD32 you are perfectly safe against macroviruses and maliciou macros. The same applies for most of the malicious scripts (viral for sure, but not all malicious scripts)

You should also have the following as a minimum:

Zone Alarm is a good firewall and more results of firewalls under testing can be seen here: www.grc.com

Spybot Search and Destroy for malware removal, this program is a little bit buggy, however well worth having...

Spyware Guard - garbage prevention

Spyware Blaster - more garbage prevention

Cheers ;D
