Here is an informal speed test of the latest browsers. The author admits the test isn't exactly scientific or perfectly precise, but its the first speed comparison I have seen of the new browsers so I thought I would share it. lifehacker - Speed Testing the Latest Web Browsers (http://lifehacker.com/396048/speed-testing-the-latest-web-browsers)

There was another browser speed test published that was a bit more scientifically controlled. Safari was the winner. So I downloaded Safari to try it out. It was faster most of the time, but then it would also have a high fraction of page arrors that negated its alleged speed overall. So I uninstalled it and went back to IE7.
Safari just wasn't THAT much faster to compenaste for any added instability.
Maybe I am the luckiest guy around, but for me IE7 has been 100% stable under VISTA HP, with and without SP1.
