What additional "file" entries can you recommend to Tiny Watcher's configuration. Seems most the registry entries are fairly well covered but could do for some upkeep on files Tiny Watcher scans on boot up.

I found it. It's very worthwhile to have Tiny Watcher show users changes (including deletes). The more it can scan the better IMO.

Run Tiny Watcher. Change something if neccessary so it brings up it's display box, click on OPTIONS: There are Regional, Global, etc. OPTIONS where you can add BOTH custom registry & file scans as well as change fonts.

I haven't altered the default config and I have these entries already?

Perhaps I misunderstood the OP? Wasn't it about what you can add to the default config?

Thanks EASTER. I also found that going to 'start|all programs|tiny watcher|options' also brings up the options screen.

But as with Teknokrat the files listed in this thread are already present. I would really like to know what other files would be useful to add (and the proper format)?

But if anyone has any additional custom entries to add, feel free to pass those along too.

Tiny Watcher might appear to be somewhat of a throwback to the past, but it is relatively quick and as far as i seen accurate. Another old throwback if you will is FileMapp byBB. I tested a rootkit once that it picked up the drop before it done it's disappearing act. Nothing else at the time even detected a new (vanishing) file had been created. FileMap recorded it complete with name/path.

Gotta luv these simplicity apps sometimes, they can come in handy.

Heh. I agree.

I also wasn't aware those entries are already default so call me mindless when it comes to TW file coverages.

It does help that the developer of this app at least had the forethought to also include for our review "deleted files" and the removal features. I always get a charge out of these simple but informative little informational scanners.
