I recently installed both the remote administrator and console on a Windows 2000 server. I want to remotely push the antivirus software to the workstations.

I cannot create a new package with the Installation Package Editor. The screen shows the following in the package section

Type: ESET security products package
Name: <Please select a package from the list or select a new one>

How do I create a new package name? I cannot type over the text in the "Name" selection.

On the remote install tab, click on the Packages button next to "Manage Packages"

Click Add and add the 32 and 64 BIt versions of the client, make or select a config file edit the command line paramaters and then hit "Save As".

Bakker,

Thanks for your reply. However, I'm still not clear about this. When I click the ADD button, I get a "Create ESET Installation" dialog box. The box has a "Source" entry and a browse button. When I click the browse button, It prompts for a file type of "Eset Install Execution file (*.msi) and looks in the "templates" directory which has 3 sub-directories; basic, ess, and nod32. None of these directories have a file type of msi.

This is really frustrating. I've looked at the manual that came with the installation and nowhere can I find a decent explaination about how to create a new package. It should not be this difficult.

You have to get the installer packages from the NOD website (NOD AV Business edition if you want to create Anti Virus Packages and SMart Security if you want to create it's packages) These are the MSI packages needed.
