NOD32 doesn't integrate with Thunderbird...yet. It might be on the horizon, but not currently. If you are having your email delivered via POP3, then the incomming messages will be scanned as normal.

It doesn't integrate with p2p programs directly either, but with the AMON module running, any newly created or access files will be scanned upon creation or activation.

I use FlashGet which is a P2P program (includes Bittorrent for example.) I have Nod run a deep scan of the files after they are downloaded via this as shown below. The command line options were discovered from the forum. Do a search and you can find much more detail than I understand.

200602

And then you can always do this in Thunderbird;

200603

So while Nod doesn't have integration, you can use programs built in options to add it yourself.

No , not in v4 - I don't even know if they have even thought about such thing like v4 .

The fact that we don't see new versions everyday doesn't mean ESET Development and TechSupport teams are sleeping . They are constantly working on new feautures and testing them so that when ready to be pushed to all of us.

Thunderbird support has been planned for long time and as Marcos said will be fact with the next bigger version , which may be 3.x or 3.0.y

where x is different than 0 , y is different than 6

It might also be released with the PCU , which is going to happen sometime this year. No public dates are available but as always - when ready for everybody! They also work on other things , which will be making ESET products better and better :thumb:

In theory, it should work regardless of the protocol used as the scanner works as a plugin.
