Hi,
How can I know how many viruses there are in NOD32 virus database?
Is it displayed anywhere?
Thanks

To avoid repeating the same, please have a look at the following thread:

Thanks...
I was afraid because I read somewhere NOD32 is good for heuristic but bad for signatures. On this website I read it only knows about 4000 virus (other antivirus know about 60000)

Don't be afraid. These are only the recent addiction to the virus scan strings. Nod32 datasbeses covers around 60000 not mentioned string more....

I've tried both Nod32 and KAV and both have their strengths:-
Nod:- faster uses less system resources
KAV:-better protection against more threats(trojans included!)and far better scanning of comressed files.
The choice is simple:- if you want the BEST protection and aren't too concerned with scan speeds and the hit on system resources, choose KAV
If you want good protection and speed combined with a low hit on system resources choose Nod
