Won't always update & never shows blocked attempts

NOD 32 Version 3.0.657.0
Sometimes it won't update & asks for Username & Password.
After i insert these it updates.
Now today it updated.
What can the problem be ?

Also:
I have been running NOD for a month & it never says it blocked any attempts.
How do i know it is running properly ?
Before this i had Norton NAV & it did show blocked attempts.

I would check to see if your firewall is blocking update attempts.

If you are prompted for a username and password again, they must have been altered in the registry somehow (e.g. if you used a registry cleaner).

I never used a registry cleaner & because it updates sometimes,it's not the firewall

Not necessarily. I would check your firewall logs to see if you have blocked packets. I have had a similar problem in the past.
