Hey, I've recently realized that NOD32 no longer has Automation settings for infected files. Should users require scanning be performed unsupervised, it would be vital for a preset course of action be it, delete, repair, or quarantine once an infected file is found.
Did I miss this setting, or is it really not there?
thx

Hi!
Setup provides three cleaning mods for each module. Setup -> Enter entire advanced setup tree... -> Antivirus and antispyware

Sorry, I still can't find it.
I am not sure if perhaps I poorly phrased the issue.
The problem is that there isn't a settings section for Automation during a scan to be found.
For example:
In Avira Antivirus:
In the settings page called "Action for concerning files" are the following:
Interactive Mode:
Prompts you everytime a questionable file is found
Automatic:
-----Primary Mode:
-------------------Quarantine, Delete, repair, remain, etc
-----Secondary Mode:
-------------------Quarantine, Delete, repair, remain, etc
As explained in the help file:
Automatic
If this option is enabled and a virus or unwanted program is detected, no dialogue appears in which an action can be selected. The Scanner reacts according to the settings made by you in this section.

I find it surprising this setting isn't available in NOD32, am I missing something?
thx

New user interface of ESET's products is oriented for every user. Because of it standard mode doesn't provide practically nothing. Intermediate users can switch interface to advanced mode, which provide a lot of options.
Work with detected threats was improved. User can choose one from three mods. Information about everyone you can find after press F1 key in GUI.
You cannot edit these mods.

Although the conventional format is preferred, thx for the clarification of this new control format. ;D
