NetLimiter Monitor

I am looking for a simple, but accurate, statistics gathering program for measuring total network traffic over several months on a single notebook PC. I found the free NetLimiter Monitor program, which appears to fit the bill. Is it safe? Relatively transparent? Low resource utilization? Accurate?

Netlimiter is good, also you can use Dumeter.

I like DUmeter but I've heard good stories about Netlimiter :).
