OK, LowWaterMark
that wasn't fair. Don't lock the thread again.

And the question: Have you already buy an antivirus software? Which one, how much did it cost, where did you buy it?

Lamers: this isn't place for you. We will DELETE every post connected with cracks, serials ...

I bought CA Etrust EZ online. Why? Good scanner and the cheapest commercial product with good VB100% results (very low renewal rates too).

I bought NOD32 online from ESET. Can't recall exactly the cost (~29US?). I also like and use F-prot DOS (free) and Bitdefender free. Have McAfee on office laptop, though I didn't choose it or pay for it.

May I ask how this info is interesting, kloshar?

I have 3 AVs for which I purchased licenses- F-Prot, DrWeb, & EZ. I also use AntiVir-PE, which is free.

I wanted to make that forum interesant. You all have lot of experiences with a-v programs so I was wondering how many of you did already buy one. Don't be angry.

I buy my security programs off-line(thru postal mail).

Last year I bought RAV, KAV Personal 4.5, and Dr.Web.
Each time I purchased a license thru a US partner(reseller).

Hi Kloshar ... I currently use AVG by Grisoft [free version} and that combined with ZoneAlarm Pro which has a Mailsafe feature which works like a charm - gives me all the protection I need for my purposes. Added to this security a bit of common sense when it comes to attachments & surfing, proper configurations, and I am sailing along like a sailboat in the wind without incident. ;)

Oh, come on Mickey. ::)

Is that all you are about, stealing software? That's really too bad. A lot of people work hard to produce products they can sell, which in turn helps them live out in the world, supporting themselves and their families.

But, some other people just steal these things, and very often when they could easily afford to buy them.

Your advice will be ignored by the honest people on this forum.

You have a nice day.

I'm keep my mouth (and fingers) shut.

I don't promote stealing, but just like to point out "alternatives".

well for me there are plenty AVs giving 30 days trial, so when first AV reaches its end (30 days), simply install another one (means another 30 days) and so on after a year or so normally OS collects a lot of garbage, therefore I always FORMAT and install fresh. and start again with 30 days trial business.

Okay, let's all just focus on the main topic of the thread now. There's enough posted already against the idea of stealing software as an alternative, so let's just get back to kloshar's original question from here on...

no i don't think it would stop these mickies, but it would make me feel better :)

there's enough of warez/crack forums on the net.. we can keep wilders warez free!

one thing is good about warez sites though--> i get a lot of new malware from those

Hi all,

About AV software:

I bought AVK 12 Pro (RAV/KAV engine). With my new motherboard a complete version of PC-cillin was delivered (1 year updates). I am also a registered user of Sys. Mech. Pro which (surprise) also included Panda Platinum (1 year updates). Further on i have Bit Defender home edition.
AVK is always on, because its the only one who can scan my e-mail. Bitdefender scans my downloads.
All three are doing a daily system scan.
All three updates automatically up to few times a day.
Maybe a funny composition but it protects my system well so far.
In the past i used NAV but i wasnt satisfied.

Greetings

Gerard
