Hi,

I have been using Powerdesk 4.0 with no problem for sometime - but yesterday after I deleted and apparent malware from an entirely different part of my drive (Avast reported problem with a file on an external drive. Powerdesk is intalled on main C drive) - I noticed that when I open Powerdesk while the title bar displays drives and the file list okay on the left, when I select a file nothing appears in the adjacent file pane.

I do not know how to make the files appear. I have used Fix-it utiliites to restore system files and I even tried reinstalling Powerdesk 4.0 from a disk, but neither seemed to solve the problem. Have I switched off something? I don't understand what's happened any help would be appreciated as I prefer the program to Explorer - Explorer under My Computer displays all files fine by the way.

I have just signed up with a new ISP (Talk-talk) and Avast's alert and weird stuff in formerly okay programmes on the very same day a as the switch over is making me jumpy. Thanks

To clarify a bit more - if I click on 'My Computer' in Powerdesk, the drives and desktop items do appear in the right hand viewer pane, but if I select a drive and/or file in the tree below 'my computer' - nothing appears in the file pane.

I never got to the bottom of what caused this, but an uninstall/reinstall sloved the problem.

You may or may not be aware of it but this product is up to version 7 now and many bugs have been corrected in the various versions since version 4.
