Could you please fill in the support form at http://www.eset.com/support/contact.php ? My colleagues will need to know your full name and registration email address so that they can look up your license details in our records.

So why not install the Trial version for now? It lasts 30 days and when you do get your UserName and Password you can enter them into the Trial version and you're done.
Then print the email and store safely...

These things can happen.....it's not the end of the world. The most important part is that eset fix the problem.

Please PM me your full name as well as your registration email address. I'll try to look it up in our records. It could be that you used a different email address in the form so the US guys could not find your license.

well just in-case anyone is interested I have been waiting for my login details since saturday and have finally got them but its to late because I have a virus on my computer. I have been sending emails to the kind chap that sent me my login after waiting for a call from a different member of staff which never came about. I have sent him screen dumps and stuff but bang goes 5.30 and I gets a email saying send me your number and i'll ring you in the morning (ask the guy sat next to you, he was supposed to ring me) anyway the virus will not let me clean, delete or even leave it alone it just stays on my screen. I have only just been able to get on the net to post on here.
I'll be formating my pc and NOT re-newing thanks.

I have a question. How did you get this virus? If it was due to a drive-by on a website, then I'd be curious as to know what website it came from.
If it came from an email, then I have to ask why it was opened. Unless a friend sent it to you.
Virus infections aren't as easy as people might think. Spyware is, but a virus is usually downloaded, received through an email or transferred over the network.
So my thoughts are this, and no disrespect, but if you had no antivirus running, why were you doing anything on your system that could lead to a virus infiltration? This all falls under the "Safe Usage" policy of a computer. If you are continuously using your computer in a way that it might get infected with a virus, then you will eventually get infected regardless of what AV you use. No AV is 100% perfect so eventually, something will get by with unsafe practices.
I am NOT saying this is what you did, but after having cleaned hundreds and hundreds of computers throughout my career, I have yet to see a computer that was infected with a virus by any other reason than user envolvment. That includes: Torrents, P2P, opening emails from unknown sources, browsing to unsafe sites, warez, etc..
My recommendation is to do a full system scan in Safe Mode to get rid of the virus.
It is with regret that it took so long for you to get your license information, but this is a fluke, trust me, it doesn't happen often, if ever. The most I've had a customer wait for a license was 1 day.
I would not turn your back on NOD just yet, as it is still the best on the market.

it says the object is jkkHWoOg.dll
it looks like it may be some kind of adware thats making my computer act crazey I cant get in my emails at all now.
I have not had a virus in the last 5 years and the resaon I think I may have got it is because I only had trial verson of nod installed.
I cant get in my emails now :(

The Trial edition of NOD32 has the exact same protection level as the paid version, If it is installed and configured properly. If you don't have full protection enabled, then it is going to have a higher chance of getting infected.
Adware and Viruses are not the same thing btw. Adware is usually always easy to clean up.
As I mentioned, reboot your computer in Safe Mode and do a full scan with NOD32. Make sure you have the settings in NOD configured properly or you are just wasting effort.

Just to clarify things:
1, you claimed that you purchased from www.eset.com, so you and I contacted the ESET office in San Diego.
2, You reported the problem here during a weekend. ESET reserves the right to respond within 24 hours during work days.
3, As a temporary solution, I've sent you a temporary username/password so that you could update your EAV. I asked you for additional details about the purchase.
4, After you provided me with purchase details, I figured out it was purchased through www.eset.co.uk
5. Immediately I forwarded your query to the UK distributor and he sent you your username/password within 5 minutes.

I'll tell you what I will do shortly, I will put up the one lined emails I got from eset and no sorry about your problems or anything.
I'm not saying your in the wrong here marcos I know you helped me and the kind chap that emailed my username but the fact that I had to come on here to get any response and then when I do get a virus I get an email saying this "give me your number I will ring you tomorrow." is just not good enough.
Yes I lost the username.
Yes I reported it on saturday BUT also on sunday, monday and tuesday and rang up on wednesday and was promised a phone call back which I did not get.
at the end of the day if I had not come on here and got help from yourself then I would most probley still be waiting for a reply or phone call.
plus I still have this virus on my pc that nod 32 will not remove, I have started the computer in safe mode and ran nod32 but it says cannot open file.
So again thankyou marcos for your help and sorry if you thought the last post was aimed at you.
regards,
Derek

trakker, Marco's has been extremely helpful toward you. The reason things took so long on here was due to you telling him you ordered from the US site not UK. Regarding your virus/adware/spyware, do you know the name of it? What is your computer doing to indicate an infection?

Hi beta7 I know that marcos is being helpful and im thankful for his help which I hope he got from my last post. I know that the reason it took so long here was because I said .com and not .co.uk but as stated im not refering to marcos's help its that of the uk sales department being somewhat un-helpful.
plus I did send 4 lost login reports one on each day that was not replyed to, the only reason I was not happy is because I had to come on here to get help. yes granted it was saturday when I first tried to get a login but I only got a reply yesturday from that and that was to say the same thing that marcos had already told me. not to mention when I called the number they told me to ring a girl answered and said it was mark I was talking to but hes busy on the phone he will ring you back. I did says it was marcos that was helping me but never mind.
I have formated my pc and all is well, im thankful for you all on here for your advice and again marcos thanks alot for your time and help if it wasn't for you I would still be with no antivirus and a virus infected system. sorry to be a pain!
Kind Regards to all
Derek.

Glad to hear you got all your problems resolved. Sometimes a reformat is the best option. Hopefully NOD32 will be able to prevent future outbreaks. Just remember no A/V is 100%. Sometimes you'll have to use a dedicated Spyware/Adware program to clean up the hard to find stuff.

I'm sorry Capp but the whole idea of an efficient antivirus is to provide stressless surfing & using downloading applications.(Torrents, P2P), isn't it?Am i wrong here? 'cause if we use internet to see the weather website only then we wouldn't need an antivirus so bad.Neither ESET would have developed THREATSENSE technology with submisssion of files..., advanced heuristics..., and all the other goodies! You discouraged us by what you said!

Check PM
In short, No Antivirus is going to protect you 100% of the time and even less when you do things of high-risk on your computer. That means, downloading things on p2p, torrents (which by the way is usually always piracy) and opening emails from unknown users.
You should not rely on an antivirus or any software package to make you feel "invincible".

the thing is mate I do know what i am doing, its just I did not have the full protection. It was only a trial verson which I must stress the system tray icon was orange and the application stated that I must update username and password to get 100% protection. I must also say marcos did kindly send me a temp username & password but I had already got the virus
which makes me think that maybe it was the program and not me!
also one reason I bought nod32 is because its the best and you dont need to go to college and do a NVQ on how to use it.
but anyway can we put this one to bed now as my computer is virus free with full nod32 and I should be on the eset system ;)
ps this is a NEW build computer that only just had vista installed so NO torrents or p2p.
Regards,
Derek

The trial version has the same protection as the full version. If it was orange, that just means your trial period has ended and it is no longer getting updates. But, the program is still running in full force.
This could have been just an anomoly, something random entirely.
NOD has proven itself to be very effective even with out of date definitions.
Sorry your computer got infected, by whatever means it happened. Glad you are up and running though :)

That depends on what's downloaded from p2p and torrents....and for email, what if known user have compromised machine (how can you know that)? And btw I don't want AV to protect me from EICAR test file 8)...I want AV to protect me from the real threats in the real conditions.
But some AV can you protect better than other...in spite of "famous" no Antivirus is going to protect you 100%.
