Just wondering Is the firewall in KIS 8.0 (2009) better than Comodo firewall?
or does Comodo give better protection and a more effective feature like CMF (memory firewall i think)
wat would give better protection Avast antivirus free & Comodo firewall or KIS 8.0 (2009) in Vista.

It depends how you define "better protection".
Comodo, of course, is very good for passing leaktests.
Personally, I would just choose the combo that slows down your computer the least.

WSFuser,
In your experience, what antivirus and firewall slows down W2K and XP the least?

AV - Avira, NOD32, F-prot, Dr.Web
FW - Windows Firewall, LooknStop, Ghostwall
You should try them on your computer though because you may have a different experience.

A nice free set up close to your initial question (in stead of KIS)
Comodo + TF, see http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=207773
and Avast
Try this set up and trial KIS suite, what hassles you the least (with pop-ups) and fits your PC best (CPU power, memory usage) should do the trick. Both are strong security set ups. Opera is a nice fast alternative to IE7/Firefox (Opera can be skinned to look like Firefox and IE7)
