There's a report in the Dutch media, where the police admits its regularly hacks computers of suspects, looking for incriminating material.

What's the detection rate of such software, or are the ignored.

There is some controversy over this. Symantec has refused to answer whether keylogging software used by US law enforcement authorities is detected by their AV. Some of the European AV publishers say the US authorities keyloggers are not excluded. As for what the Dutch police use, I have no idea.

Lets answer for them then, nay!

Hopefully someone in the business (anti virus) who posts here will be more forthcoming about the whole issue.

It would be some advertising winner-'Our AV detects all known cop wear'!!!

In the report there's no mention about what kind of software they use :doubt:
