Cannot connect to VPN

I just downloaded ESET Security Suite 3.0.650.0
I can no longer connect to the VPN from work - this is an issue!! What do I need to change to be allowed access? I am new to this software

What mode have you got your firewall set to? You will have issues if you have set this to Automatic Mode.

What mode is recommended? Is there a place for me to put the VPN address so it goes through?
