What would be the best way to name the network connected computers in a company that has about 100 computers that are used by different divisions, locations etc.,

I am not sure for just 100 computers, but my network identifies PCs by the following 15 character nomenclature:
Server ID/Building ID/PC ID

Server ID - 3 alpha + 3 numerics to identify the server site/location and serial number

Building ID - 2 alpha (for a multi-building complex location of PC)

PC ID - 7 numerics to identify specific PC
