Backup Question

I am new to Acronis and just purchased v. 11. I did a back up, twice, with the same results. I thought one big file would be created. Instead I got 19 files of equal size, each numbered sequentially. When I went to validate the backup archive it appears that I have to select and check each file one at a time, which could take me all morning. Am I missing something, or am I supposed to get several small files instead of one big one?

Small files versus one big file is the result of your having a FAT32 file system on the storage drive. If the storage drive were converted to NTFS, you would get one file. TrueImage does have a backup archive splitting option which enables the user to control file size--if you want to copy the archive to DVD, etc.

When validating, clicking any file within the set will cause the entire set to be validated. You do not have to validate each individual file. Welcome to the forum. Perhaps my guides can help. Check line 2 of my signature below.
