If you cant get Miranda working, then go for Pidgin.

IMHO Pidgin is the best blend of features, ease of use and good performance.

Pidgin... You cant go wrong :D (except with asian characters.. I'm having an issue)

Otherwise Pidgin is sleak, great looking, supports a plethora of IM servers, has plugins, is lightweight, and best of all FREE XD

Meebo is great, but I prefer a client instead. Pidgin also supports using "HTTP" method which will allow me to use it at college with ports blocked.

I'm not seeing an option for Jabber, though I could swear I've seen it there before :what:

amazing, i was hooked on trillian once i found a good skin.

however, this is much more simple and friendly on the eyes.

good find. :)

however... how do i remove all the protocols from the bottom of the program, its taking up all the room?

edit: nevermind, done it :)

Have you checked memory usage? Last time I used that product it was up to 80+mb...

C.S.J

mine is at 68mb at the moment, but ive seen it even higher indeed. (100+)

however, its very friendly and easy to use... and it is beta, so i expect that to be fixed as time goes on.

as for now, i think i do prefer it in comparision to trillian.

That's good news. Those are the reasons I swayed away, though I won't mind giving it another shot after the bugs are fixed :)

i do prefer it to trillian, but as you said... memory usage is damn high at the moment in this beta.

i may continue with my trillian until a released version has arrived, then i will definatly make the switch. :)

digsby is awesome!

thanks for alerting me to the program though, and also everyone else who made suggestions.
