Hi,

just looking for some program that will do a decent job testing my memory with having to mess with floppies....or is that not possible?

Any ideas?

From another one of your posts, it looks like you use Vista. If so, maybe this (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/test-your-computers-memory-using-windows-vista-memory-diagnostic-tool/) will work. otherwise, I like memtest86, which will run off a cd if you like. Burnable ISO images can be found here (http://www.memtest86.com/). Free download link is on the left.

In VISTA there is a memory test utility in Administrative Tools.

I also use Memtest86+ on CD.

I don't need such software constantly on my system. Ballast.

There is a program called MemTest (http://hcidesign.com/memtest/) that runs under Windows.

Thanks for all the quick help....
(trying to find the cause of Firefox crashing all the time as per my other thread)

i ran the onboard Windows Memory testing utility yesterday but im not sure how much i trust it - it found nothing...
am running Vista and i could have sworn that MemTest86 was an available option somewhere in the bootup process, but i dont see it now, only the Windows memory app.

ill try the programs recommended here....

thanks all....

I have used it in the past and worked great.
