Hi,

AFAIK, they are different in terms of memory addressing (32-bit wide and 64-bit wide memory). But I don't really know that 64-bit system is faster than 32-bit? Can I install 32-bit OS in 64-bit system?

Some people say 64-bit is a bit faster; I dont really know.

And yes you can install a 32-bit OS on a 64-bit computer.

From what i've read, 64bit doesn't perform any better than 32bit. Personally i stick with 32bit as it has far better support and 64bit doesn't offer me anything i cannot do with 32bit.

But 64 bit OS Win supports up to 4GB RAM...

I think 64bit is faster when system deal with special computing. the multimedia(game/DVD...) need much float computing(before intel offer the MMX,SSE to speed up it in 32bit.).

Hello,
Since you did not specify the OS, it would be somewhat difficult to assess. But I can tell you that 64-bit Linuxes that I'm running are much faster than 32-bit versions.

Bit off topic but would anyone have a link where I could download a legal trial of XP 64 bit?

Tried MS sites but they all seem to point to Vista 64 bit.:-\

Unfortunately:
