hello sir,
i uploaded a sample of virus to eset 3 times but i still haven't got the update for it.
its been three days.... the virus has been uploaded in a zip file with password :infected and has been sent to sample@eset.com and samples@eset.com using main id krypton_harsh at myway.com
the virus sample i have sent is a variant of brontok virus and is widely spreading through usb drives etc.
please check the missed sample and help us by releasing the update
thanks in advance

{QUOTE-> Speed of update and reaction time is of essence. Eset is fully aware of that. Advanced Heuristics has been developed and implemented with that in mind. The only acceptable reaction time is equal to zero. NOD32 achieves that often, e.g. it detected the infamous Netsky.A and Bagle.A heuristically. Once again, I would like to thank you all: for both the samples and your patience :-)

{QUOTE-> Still waiting..................................................... :-\ <-QUOTE}Get coffee. Maybe put your feet up and read the paper and do the crossword while you wait. ronjor already supplied the answer.

{QUOTE-> ronjor already supplied the answer. <-QUOTE}He did indeed and Eset adds items according to their criteria. Since the thread starter has taken appropriate action, there's no real need to bump threads with simple "waiting" posts. So we'll just bring this thread to a close.

Some of the files seem to be clean, one is a very trivial Autoit script that doesn't do anything but copies itself to disks. Our viruslab will analyse the samples and add detection for the stuff where detection is appropriate.
