Help with SpywareGuard question

This is probably a stupid question but I have downloaded SpywareGuard 2.2 and accepted that the LiveUpdate and SpywareGuard icons be placed on my desktop.
I have successfully downloaded the updates by clicking on LiveUpdate but when I click on the plain SpywareGuard icon nothing opens. Even when I right click and chose open.
I went to the site and installed the vbrun60sp5 file just to see.
???I am I missing something?
I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times.

Hi Tired :)

Click on your SG systems tray icon.

This opens up Spywareguard interface with all options.
