Banners in Email with exchange

We are running SBS2003 with exchange and I need to turn off the banners that show in the email messages as the replies bounce back and forth between users the messages are becoming quite long because of the extra banners added everytime the message gets scanned. I've read messages about how to change this setting in Imon but that is for pop3 not exchange. Can someone please help me with where this setting is.

NOD32 for Exchange does not add any tag messages to scanned email.

The banner is set in the client in Email Protection, Alerts and Notifications, Append tag to email. I disabled these in my client config after complaints about the same thing.
