i did not install it
i would like to read the manual before install it

i have 2 question outside the manual

1) has a learn mode?

2)is there some pop ups like outpost that let me makes rules?

1- No. It comes with a default ruleset which works fine in most situations.
2- No. Ghostwall is completely silent. The only way to know about blocked connections is checking the log.

Not sure about a manual, but IIRC it comes with a help file.

If you have a rule to allow all outgoing comms, your apps will work fine.
If you want to fine-tune your ruleset, go to the FAQ of your app to know which ports (on local and remote endpoints) you need to open. Web browsers need remote ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS) to be open. This will change if you use any kind of proxy.

GhostWall is easy as it gets. You just need to know which ports and protocols an application uses, and this can be easily obtained by a bit of googling.
Firefox will only connect out on 80 and 443 (in some cases alternative http ports such as 8080 or 8090). Skype will need inbound UDP rules for voice calls and this is quite open (1024-65535) as this app likes to use random ports. Miranda will use inbound UDP (for webcam usage, I imagine) depending on the IM protocol used, for example Messenger needs UDP in range 6900-6910 as well as port 4000 forwarded in GhostWall.

Your HELP file is good but there are still questions and I have posted in another thread.

Like what happens to any settings you make while in the FULLy functional mode and after the 14 or 15 days and it reverts to the Limited FREE version? How would one be able to maybe make some other changes like returning to the original settings?
