Hey

I am having trouble trying to access some websites because NOD32 Smart Security is blocking it. Does anybody know how to make this website accessible?

Thankyou.

NOD32 doesnt block websites being accessed.

Yours HOSTS file has a list of redirections, normally in the format:

www.someplace.com 127.0.0.1

which tells it www.someplace.com points to 127.0.0.1 (your computer).

Look in the HOSTS file (system32\drivers\etc) with notepad, and do a find for the url your trying to enter.

If its there, remove the line entry.

Beaware, tools like Spybot, Spyware Doctor and Spyware Blaster configure the hosts file to block known bad websites, so be sure you really want to visit this website.

Yes it does - even the NOD32 Anti Virus blocks some sites - i know because i tested my NOD32 installation after all the recent fuss. There have been several threads on the recent blocking of certain warez sites like this one - http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=206933

What I did was add a * @ Exclude list, its annoying that ESET blocks websites, I know what to visit, so I hate them overtaking my authority.

In doing that, Pwntje, ESET allows you to access the website right? I agree, we know what we are doing, but they still don't let you.
